The Holy Bible: Containing the Old and New Testaments, Translated out of the Original Tongues and With the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised
Boston: W. Greenough, 1813. Hardcover. A very old leatherbound Bible. Unpaginated, [792] pages. G-: A book for a die-hard Bible lover or collector- it has been well used (loved), and several sections of pages have been flipped through so much that they are wearing away (sometimes into the text). The leather is chipped and cracked. The whole book is slightly warped and swollen. Cracks and holes to the leather on the spine. Some lift to the top of the spine. Peeling to the edges of the leather. Some wear to the edges and corners of the pages; these include closed tears, small holes, and thinning. Some foxing to the pages. Notable tanning to the pages. A section of loose leaves across Romans/Galatians/Corinthians; a section of loose leaves in Isaiah; a section of detached leaves and torn out but laid in page in Job. The one loose page in Job is missing a majority of its margins and some text. This should not be an issue for someone well-versed in the Good Book. A really beautiful old book with lots of history and character. Item #213392
