John Sharples, 1624-1685, son of Geoffrey and Margaret Ashley Sharples, emigrated in 1682 from Hatherton in the parish of Wybonbury, Cheshire, to Pennsylvania. He married Jane Moor (1638-1722) in England. He died in Ridley Township, near Chester, Pennsylvania.
