Extremely rare documentary pamphlet of the Resurrection City encampment that sprouted on the National Mall in Washington, DC from May 12 to June 24, 1968. It is also associated with, or tasked as part of, The Poor People's Campaign. This booklet is described as follows on the Smithsonian Website of the National Museum of African American History and Culture: "A paperback booklet printed in black ink on white paper. The front cover is a black-and-white photograph of a person's bare right muddy foot. At the top of the front cover is the text in white print [All proceeds to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference $1] and at the bottom is the title in bold white print [This Was Resurrection City.] The back cover is a black-and-white photograph of the legs of two people, one wearing jeans, striding barefoot through mud. The booklet is 20 pages long, containing 28 photographs of men, women and children living, working, eating and playing within Resurrection City, interspersed with poetic text."
