Frontispiece and plates throughout are signed by Carl Rabus. This is copy 77 of 200 signed by Rabus. Carl Rabus was a german expressionist whose early life was spent fleeing Nazi persecution and, eventually, escaping a detention camp in France. "Die Bettlerin vom Pont des Arts" translated as "The Beggar of the Pont des Arts" was written by Wilhelm Hauff, who was a famed writer of early 19th Century German literature. A rare copy.
