Three-quarters blue leather; 52 issues bound together, each issue is approximately 15 pages; profusely illustrated throughout in black and white with many color illustrations. Several of the illustrations are fold-outs. Each issue has its own illustrated title page and rear page with a large double page illustration in center, many are in color. VG- (heavy wear to boards with tears along spine and tears in the cloth, front cover is mostly unnattached; first page of the first issue is torn in half; June 1877, No. 37 has several loose pages; light foxing spots and aging as expected with age of book, pages are otherwise clean.
