London: William Heinemann, 1911-1914. Hardcover. Each of the three volumes is bound in crisp blue publishers cloth. Each of the three is housed in it's own 3/4 leather box, where the book (in a separate green silken stiff wrap) is inserted into the rear. All three are first editions, first printings. Volume 2 has the added feature of an inscription from the author to his friend Seamus at the top of the ffep. VG++ to VG, cases are quite nice, volume 2 has some age-toning to the endpapers and very slight foxing. Volumes 1 and 3 each have a bookplate, volume 2 does not. Item #173494
I believe these leather boxes may have been crafted by Stikeman in NYC based on materials and workmanship, but they are not signed. A lovely set and quite nice that one of the volumes is inscribed.
