Colonial Architecture Series 1: Fifty Salem Doorways
New York: Doubleday Page & Co., 1912. Hardcover. Soiled and stained industrial cloth binding. Acceptable for reference, not a collectors piece. One copy has original binding but flaps broken and old stain on front. Item #170870
Original edition of this publication. Two-page introduction by Glenn Brown followed by the fifty illustrations. There are also a number of original photographs mounted to the reverse of some of the pages whowing additional doorways or house features. While I believe this set was orginally issued as a portfolio of loose plates, the former owner of this book, an architect, had them mounted for ease of use and quick reference. Significant soiling and smudging, this book was used.
