Portfolio containing plates. This copy unsigned and unnumbered. Date is derived from the plates. Publishing date is January 31, 1910. However, one of the 20 sequential plates is dated 1911. This rare volume consists of 20 black and white drawings, from the Parisian period of this artis., who arrived there from Mexico in 1907 on a scholarship. These drawings show a strong influence by Aubrey Beardsley. While in Paris, he was exposed to folks like Juan Gris, Picasso, Braque and Cocteau. One of the 50 examples on Japon paper. Introduction by Henri de Regnier. Ex-libris illustrated (bookplate) by R. Montenegro. at bottom left of limitation page. One-=page of text by de Regnier, followed by the 20 plates. Montenegro eventually re-pariated to Mexico after the First World War.
