Issued weekly on Friday. There is a supplement to the issue on March 19 (Speech by NJ senator Wm.L. Dayton, against allowing slavery in newly annexed US territories), on December 10, 1847 (Annual address to Congress by President James K. Polk, and on April 28, 1848 (Several headlines regarding unrest in Europe and declaration of war against Austria). First issue of 1848 includes an almanac for the year. Friday Jan 1, 1847- Friday December 29, 1848. New volumes begin with first issue of July of each year. Has an error in issue numbers - after 976, issues repeat numbers 968-976, but with later dates and then continue on to 1008. Published weekly.
