A beautiful edition of this classic. Five Civil War soldiers from the Union decide to escape by sailing in a balloon. They crash land onto an uncharted island in the South Pacific. This handsome edition follows the original English translation by W. H. G. Kingston and includes an introduction by American science fiction author Ray Bradbury as well as lovely illustrations by Edward A. Wilson. This one's a keeper.
