A very the first six volumes of this favorite. Volumes 1, 2, 3 are the 1981 reprint volumes, each with a small section at the forefront of each chapter containing "1981 Reflection on ..." whatever that chapter deals with. Volumes 4-8 are present in their original dustjackets. Volume 8 contains an extremely important index to the first 8 volumes of this seminal publication. The core contents of these six books were originally published as individual issues of "Opportunities In American Antiques" beginning in 1957. Each volume also contains information in the form of color plates, or updates, or articles, which were not present in the original brochures. A standard reference work which you will often use and be thankful for.
