Text in English. The only collection of photographs (over 200) of the Tsar and his family taken by a single individual, General Count Alexander Grabbe, father of editor Paul Grabbe. Count Grabbe was the military aide to Nicholas II and captured the last years of the Russian monarchy, with intimate photos of the Tsar and his family in informal settings. Grabbe served Nicholas until the day of the Tsar's abdication in March 1917. A poignant book from a personal point of view. (paraphrased from the dj).
