Includes photos, illustrations, architects' drawings and engravings of interiors. Most photography by Edwin Smith. Some of the interiors include Empress Josephine's bedroom at Malmaison in Paris, the Governor's Palace at Williamsburg, Virginia, Haga Slot in Stockholm, and the library of the Biltmore Mantion in North Carolina.
