A visit to the past. The Snead and Company Iron Works made metallic book stacks (shelving units) for libraries. These were designed by Bernard Richardson Green, who also served at the Library of Congress. This volume was not just free publicity for the company. It shows floor plans and elevations for shelf placement and includes many BW photos of libraries, both interior and exterior, which were Snead clients. This one was "presented to A. L. Bailey, Esq., Wilmington, Del." A great piece of memorabilia for a library lover.
