Text in both English and Russian. The catalogue of descriptions is in parallel text. This richly-illustrated edition introduces the reader to the Hermitage collection of Russian and Soviet porcelain. The majority of works are published here for the first time. Of great interest are the various marks to be found on these works, reproduced in the List of Color Plates. Many of the items were made at the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg, founded by Catherine the Great in 1744.
