Includes the background of the Bauhaus, its theory and organization, the years 1919-1925-from the first proclamation to the teachers and students, the years 1925-1928-from the Bauhaus building to administrative changes, the spread of the Bauhaus idea, and Bauhaus teaching in the U.S. First published in 1938 in conjunction with an exhibition at MOMA.
