A lovely book with a beautiful selection of illustrations and excellent descriptive and narrative material throughout. The drawing by Pennell which is tipped-in is titled "Testing the Medicine" and shows a gentleman looking longingly at a glass of spirits in his left hand. A prospectus for this book is also laid-in at the front, which describes it's production and has some sample pages. Though of a limited edition of 150 copies with this signature and original artwork, no statement to that effect can be found in this copy.
