China, its Scenery, Architecture, Social Habits, Etc., Illustrated (Division 7)

London: The London Printing and Publishing Company, Limited. Hardbound. Maroon boards with gilt decoration; 144 pp. text plus index and 17 engravings with tissue covers (including 3 title pages with engravings). Front cover is detached but included; text block is intact; pages, including illustrations, have foxing. Item #118699

This is the final part of a series published, likely in the late 1800s/early 1900s to be bound together when all divisions had been purchased. The text begins on page 97, mid-sentence, and continues to page 140, which concludes with "The End." The plates are titled, and some are not too disturbed by the foxing and would be suitable for framing. The text is very interesting, about historical China and overland routes to India.
