Frederic Fiebig: St. Petersburg-Paris-Alsace, 1885-1953
New York: Shepherd Gallery, Associates, Inc., 1990, Fall. Softbound. White and color illustrated stiff wraps. 100 pp., 114 color plates. VG. Item #103603
Quite uncommon, and apparently the sole source of information (in English) on this Russian-born artist who settled in France and spent a lifetime antagonizing those whose patronage he sought. With essays by Elisabeth Kashey and Kyra Kapareiter-Homeyer, an exhibitions history, and selected bibliography. The lightly annotated catalogue presents 114 pieces, and all are pictured in full color afterward. A rare find.
