Information on the origins of mechanical clocks, clocks made primarily in France, and (in volume 3), clocks made in other parts of Europe and Turkey. An excellent, extensive reference. Although not noted inside, this set was formerly owned by Winthrop Edey, a well-known clock, watch, and photography collector who lived in New York City.
