Entire text is in French. All three volumes are from the 1974 edition. Includes an extensive index of makers' names and a table of time equivalents from 1971. Information on the origins of mechanical clocks, clocks made primarily in France, and (in volume 3), clocks made in other parts of Europe and Turkey. An excellent, extensive reference. Although not noted inside, this set was formerly owned by Winthrop Edey, a well-known clock, watch, and photography collector who lived in New York City.
