Considers the life and work of Russian-born American artist Nicolai Fechin ( 1881-1955). With a foreword written by Eya Fechin Branham, his daughter. A lovely book with large color plates. Includes notes, selected bibliography, The first 40 pages or so examine the artist's birth and experiences in Russia, and the remainder examines his American Years-New York, Taos, and Santa Barbara. Also includes a brief essay by Fechin presenting his views and philosophy on art.
