Born in Vienna, Konti came to the US in early 1892. After doing work at the Columbian Exposition, he went to New York, where he first worked in Karl Bitter's studio, and then worked with Bitter. Later, in his own studio, Konti took in an assistant named Paul Manship. Introductory essay with notes written by Mary Jean Smith Madigan. Chronology. This is followed by a catalogue raisonne of known works. The major work on this important sculptor. Hudson River Museum, Jan. 26 to Mar. 30, 1975.
