Three McIntire Rooms from Peabody, Massachusetts

Boston, Massachusetts: Museum of Fine Arts, 1931. Hardbound. Green printed boards with darker green cloth spine, 91 pp., BW illus. and figures. VG- (Ex-art library, with barcode and bookplates and marks on outermost pages; otherwise only slight wear and age.). Item #36618

Showcases the interior design and decorative elements of three rooms designed by architect Samuel McIntire (1757-1811) of Salem, Massachusetts. Noteworthy, as these three rooms were removed from their original home in the early 1920s and were re-installed with much of the original Federal style furniture from the home. Nice large bw plates, very informative historical and descriptive text.
