Exhibition held January 29 to March 29, 1992. Survey of historical 1200-page manuscript submitted by Poma de Ayala to King Philip III of Spain. The Letter reveals the ethnography of Andeans before Euopeans arrived in America. The foreward describes the manuscript as an eloquent testimony to the complex colonization process that gave birth to the 'mestizo' culture of present-day Latin America.
