Each volume has 448 pp. with numerous color and bw illustrations. Varied condition, from Fair (Vol. I) to VG (Vol. 6) - Vol. 1 is shaken, with a few loosened pages, crayon marking to endpapers, wear to spines and covers, minor yellowing to most page edges; pages generally clean; Vol. 6 is clean and tight with very little age toning to pages. The other volumes range in between: Good/Good+/VG-/VG. Item #29054
Titles are: Vol. 1, "In the Nursery of My Bookhouse"; Vol. 2, "Up One Pair of Stairs in My Bookhouse"; Vol. 3, "Through Fairy Halls of My Bookhouse"; Vol. 4, "The Treasure Chest of My Bookhouse"; Vol. 5, "From the Tower Window of My Bookhouse"; Vol. 6, "The Latch Key of My Bookhouse". The volumes contain various works such as the much-loved nursery rhymes by Mother Goose, a few Aesop's Fables, stories by Anatole France, Mary Mapes Dodge, Beatrix Potter, Kate Greenaway, Hans Christian Andersen and others; poetry by Christina Rossetti, a few Japanese haiku, and international nursery rhymes; as well as folk tales from around the world.
