Published to accompany a major exhibition, held in Cavalese, Italy at the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunita di Fiemme, December 19, 1998 to February 27, 1999. The exhibition was also shown at Pinacoteca Comunale, Jesi (March 6 to April 10, 1999) and Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica in Palazzo Barberini, Roma (April 17 to Giugno 20, 1999). The art of painter Cristoforo Unterperger, from Fiemme, in the Dolomite region. He worked in the 18th century and created masterpieces at the Vatican, Villa Borghese, and other locations.
