Presents 240 Englishmen and women in the order in which they were artistically rendered: from Elizabeth of York, the Queen of Henry VII in 1502, to Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, in the 1830s. Each volume has a bookplate from Newhouse Galleries gallery inside the front cover. Still nice shelf appeal.
