One sheet contains portraits of both painters, with captions; all of the other sheets are full page b&w plates with captions. This exhibition toured the U.S. from 1944 to 1954. Portraits by Betsy Graves Reyneau included are of Helen A. Whiting, Mordecai W. Johnson, Eugene Kinckle Jones; Mary McLeod Bethune; Alain LeRoy Locke; Charles Hamilton Houston, Edward Lee Gardener; William Campbell; Jane M. Bolin; John Andrew Kenney; Monroe Nathan Work; Hon. William Henry Hastie; Asa Philip Randolph, Charles Richard Drew and Channing H. Tobias. Portraits by Laura Wheeler Waring include George Washington Carver; Jessie Redmon Fauset; Harry T. Burleigh; W.E.B. Du Bois; James Weldon Johnson; Marian Anderson and George Edmund Haynes.
