Black boards with mounted title cards on the spine and cover; spine has four raised bands; gilted design inside of cover edges; fully gilted textblock edges; unpaginated; ephemera laid-in. Good- (Boards are shelf/edgeworn; front cover has detached and the leather has separated front the board; cover has been reinforced with black tape; ffep has an inscription; clippings are toned; textblock is solid; some pages have light smudging.). This is a self-made book that contains newspaper clippings regarding the sale and display of this famous carpet, which was woven in the 1500s. Each newpaper's location and date of article publication is noted by hand; these are articles from American and International sources. A great find!
