Sandro Botticelli et Son Epoque
Paris: Goupil & Cie, 1907. 193/300. Hardcover. Oversized bound in 3/4 red leather and red cloth boards; 5 raised bands on spine with gilt lettering; top edge gilt, original cover bound in, color frontispiece, III, 83 pp with bw illustrations followed by plates numbered 1-59 (missing 6, 28, 30, 38, 49, 52, 53 which were originally in the text portion) and 7 unnumbered plates. Each plate has a descriptive guard sheet. Plates are in bw and color. Good+ (shelfwear to boards, leather spine is torn along top 1/3, pages of text and plates are very clean with only light aging along edges, the unnumbered plates in the rear also have guardsheets but the sheets appear to be trimmed off along the side which removed the number. From the list of plates in the rear, it seems as though those unnumbered plates could be plates 60-66. Plates 6, 28, 30, 38, 49, 52 and 53 are missing but their guardsheets are still present in the text pages). Item #188987
Text is in French. Printed in edition of 300 copies, this being number 193.
