Written in German. The unusual collection of large images wer printed in 1821 from original 16th century woodblocks. The woodcuts were made by Hans Sebald Beham, Hans Brosamer, Hans Schaufelein, and others. Included are 27 bw plates, many full page. A rare, oversized book. The book was dedicated to a German 16th century mastersinger Hans Sachs and the poetry of his time.
