The letters were originally published in the Pennsylvania chronicle, December 2, 1767 - February 15, 1768. (The writings of John Dickinson, v. 1, 1895, p. 282-283). Exceedingly rare in this second printing of the first edition. The typesetting of the title-page of the second printing is slightly more compact concerning the title, and there is a different printer's device between the statement "Second Edition" and the printers information than is between the bottom line line of the title and the same printers information on the first printing title-page. No copies of the second printing of the first edition have sold at auction in the last 100 years. VG+ Bookplate of noted Americanists R.T.H. & H.E.
