Text is entirely in French, published for the purpose of describing the unrivalled collection comprised selectively of works by the following (with number of etched illustrations in parenthases): Boudin (1), Mary Cassatt (2), Degas (4), Forain (1), Lepine (1), John Lewis-Brown (1), Manet (4), Monet (7), Pissarro (4), Puvis De Chevannes (1), Renoir (7), Rodin (1), Sisley (2). The entire edition limited to 50 copies, as follows: "1 thru 25 exemplaires sur papier des Manufactures imperiales du Japon avec eaux-fortes; 26-50 exemplaires sur papier de Hollande avec eaux-fortessur Japon" This is copy No. 43, in original publishers coarse-woven cloth binding. This copy last sold at the Walpole Auction Galleries sale No. 124 (Library of Dr. Frank Jackson) on June 18-19, 1919 in NYC. Has bookplate of James Hunecker. There is no way to know if Huneker owned the book before Jackson, but a review of Huneker's life would indicate such with modest interpretive deduction. Very scarce.
