Polished two-color leather doublure with extensive gilt tooling around the perimater and polished leather in the center and silken endpapers. xvi pages, 1 leaf, 416, [2] pages including frontispiece 103 crisp plates (including frontispiece) with descriptive letterpress and short essay for each one. Printed on Imperial Mill Japan Vellum. VG, with slightest wear at tips and base of spine, but edge tooling of spine still very sharp. A lovely copy. Item #173470
