Said to be a landmark sale of collectibles, the "greatest American furniture sale ever held," that included tables, chairs, benches, sideboards, bookcases, chests, clocks, quilts, pewter pieces, and more. With an introduction by Leslie A. Hyam and Shirley Falcke. The annotated catalogue presents the 717 lot items, and some illustrations are included. The sale took in more than $600,000. The fold-out is a family tree of the Fenimore Family. A real piece of history.
