Monte Carlo: Andre Sauret, 1955. Limited to 500 copies in English (of a total run of 2850). Paperback. Maroon portfolio boards (chemise) with big blue embossed letters along spine, with similar maroon cardboard slipcase. The whole surrounds a paperback book in glassine jacket covering color printed front lithographed cover on thick cardstock. 151, (2) pp., 33 ctipped-in olor plates and 60 black and white plates of drawings, lithographs and paintings. Index at rear. Book is VG or better with one very light smudge on the ffep. Chemise is good+ with foxing on both pasteddowns. Box is fair only but quite slavageable. Item #171039
I call this book a paperback despite the board slipcase and chemise covers. A near-pristine copy of the book itself, some light foxing to insaide of portfolio boards and moderate damage and splitting to the seams of the slipcase. Book is in terrific condition, with original owner's inked signature at the top right of the ffep. The b/w frontispiece and color wrappers are lithographs, printed by Mourlot Freres.
