London: Sotheby's Publications, 1986. Limited to 1500 sets. Hardcover. Large volumes. Dark blue cloth with gilt lettering and color/gilt illustrations; red endpapers; top edge gilt. Dark blue dust jacket with white lettering and color illustration. Each volume inserted into blue cloth slipcase. Volume I: 376 pp, 34 color plates, 926 labeld BW illustrations + others. Volume II: pages 381-899, approx 1400 BW illustrations, nearly 100 pages of color plates. Volume III: pages 905-1381, 40 pages of color plates, and BW illustrations labeled 955-3671. Shipping weight for the set is 40 pounds. VG. Slipcases show some light general shelf wear, such as rubbing and scuffing of cloth along edges. Books are overall in great shape, with only minimal wear to dust jackets along edges from insertion into slipcases. Volume I's back page sticks and rubs onto red endpaper along bottom edge; slipcase has old price sticker. Except for this small flaw in Volume I, these volumes are clean and tight and do not appear to have been read. Item #167343
