This interesting book begins with a list of edvertisers, then a brief sentence or so on each of the advertisers, then a title-page of sorts that presents the illustrations (from original drawings), comprised of Etchings, Albertypes, photo-engravings, then later on a title-page of sorts for "Various Phases of American Art (with an alphabetical list of all the included authors). There is no proper title-page or publishing da6ta anywhere in the book. Date is taken from the etchings, and Boston is the location of all the advertisers. Includes a good number of wood-engravings or photo-engravings, 12 Albertypes, and 17 etchings by R.C. Minor, H. Furrer, B. Lander (Lamder?), Chas. W. Volkmar, Wm (William) Hart, Jas. (James) Monks, Stephen Parrish, Chas. A. (Charles A.) Platt 1882, Nicoll 81, H.W. Rice 1883, H.C. (Ford, Fard), G.W.H. Ritchie, unsigned (hunter with rifle in meadow looking to the left at four trees, the nearest one being dead), W.H. Shelton, A.H. Bicknell, J. Lauber '81, unsigned with a Number 3 in upper left corner of plate (man approaching old arched bridge with large tree in center and fait aqueduct or bridge in lower left of plate).
