Harrisburg, PA: 1880-81. Hardcover. 3/4 leather with gilt spine lettering and brown/red marbled paper-covered boards. VG. Front board top attached, with crack in gutter. Rear board unattached. Leather on spine worn through, blurring gilt lettering, and missing 1 inch at top, but binding is tight. Pages evenly tanned. No chipping to the edges with only a handful of page tears less than 1/2" long. Most pages have soft creases at four corners, as if folded in, prior to binding. Item #165680
Begins with Volume XII. No. 1 and end with Vol. XII, No. 155. Published evenings, Monday through Saturday. Missing No. 118 (4/21/1881). Error in printing No. 119, labeled as No. 112 with date of 4/29/1881, pencil corrected to 4/22/1881. Issues with moderate offset of ads through prior page include Nos. 32-34, 90, 98, 101, 141-146 - without preventing readability of prior page.
