Commences with Volume 1, No. 1 on January 7, 1851. 4 pages per issue. Published weekly. Lacks the following issues: 1: 7, 14, 18, 20, 22, 30, 38 pp. 1/2. Vol. 2: Supplement (2 copies) inserted before No. 24, the Supplement being chiefly a Request For Bids from the United States Navy for multitudes of wood and lumber, all very specifically described on the first side of the sheet. The other side of the sheet is principlally made up of ads. Vol. 3: There are 2 copies of a 2 pp Supplement insert after No. 2 which contain the Laws of The United States as published. Lacks 27, 28, 41. Damage to lower part of the second sheet of the final issue, 43, resulting in minor loss. J.J. Patterson assumes ownership and Editorship as of issue 23 in this volume. Ceased publication on November 3, 1853.
