Written in main sections of Stories Revised for Later Books, Uncollected Stories, and Unpublished Stories, with notes and a bibliography. This edition is the true first edition of Faulkner's collected stories, as this was published posthumously and included works that were not in his Collected Stories published in 1950. This Franklin Library edition was edited by Faulkner's friend and biographer, Joseph Blotner, who wrote the introduction. A special message to subscribers is included, written by Albert Erskine, another of Faulkner's editors.
