It features photographs of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, including a photograph album documenting the course of the war, a Gardner photograph of the execution of the Lincoln Assassination conspirators, and a photograph of of Lincoln delivering his Second Inaugural Address. Also included are books and photographs from the age of exploration of the West, literary letters by Hawthorne, Longfellow, Holmes, Emerson and Whitman, and a copy of the first edition of Isaac Newton's "Principia"
