Terracotta cloth/boards; blind-stamp and black decoration with gilt lettering. 4 x 6 inches. xviii, 303, [3] pp. with occasional bw illustrations. Clean, tight text, but end papers and blank versos of several illustrations have notations and more by a young man (Harry Mark Ward) who was obssessed with tic-tac-toe, his own name, cursive writing, and other bits of book decoration. Covers solid but with general shelf wear, rubbing, and some age darkening. "This book is the property of the State of Pennsylvania, and muse be delivered to your successor in office," printed on front cover in gilt. Item #158981

Written in 9 parts, plus an appendix (which covers the National Guard Practice, rules of the NRA, and much more. Amazingly comprehensive for such a small volume.
