Part of a lengthy series of illustrated picture atlases presenting the reproduction of prints rendered by European masters. Once based primarily on the compilations created by Austrian scholar and artist Johann Adam Bernhard Ritter von Bartsch (1757-1821) in his 21-volume "Le Peintre Graveur." This volume presents woodcuts with a variety of subject matter, by Venetian artist Antonio Maria Zanetti (1680-1767) and a variety of other designers. Uncommon.
