A bureaucratic examination of the state of tenant farmers in the United States during the middle year of the Great Depression. Especially noteworthy as this publication is generally accepted to contain the earliest published photographs taken by Dorothy Lange. This copy is tight, clean (two pages have very light pencil lines in the margins) and faint ink stamps from a former library owner on the cover with one additional very faint stamp inside the front cover. Prepared by a joint technical committee of the President's Special Committee on Farm Tenancy and the National Resources Committee consisting of L.C. Gray, chairman, John D. Black, E.G.
