Once based primarily on the compilations created by Austrian scholar and artist Johann Adam Bernhard Ritter von Bartsch (1757-1821) in his 21-volume "Le Peintre Graveur." This volume addresses the work of German printmaker and artist Albrecht Durer (1471-1528). Consists of examples of engravings, etchings, drypoints, and woodcuts. Uncommon.
