Item #157380

Part of a lengthy series of illustrated picture atlases presenting the reproduction of prints rendered by European masters. Once based primarily on the compilations created by Austrian scholar and artist Johann Adam Bernhard Ritter von Bartsch (1757-1821) in his 21-volume "Le Peintre Graveur." This volume addresses the work of Dutch artists Jacob Matham (1581-1631), Jan Saenredam (1565-1607), and Jan Muller (1571-1628), who all worked in the manner of Hendrick Goltzius (1558-1617). Scarce.
