The majority of the items were pistols and shotguns, but the stagecoach on the cover was a highlight, as were some paintings in the second session by Robert E. Lee. REA went bankrupt in 1975, and I presume the sale of the assets in this auction was to satisfy leinholders. Certainly the end of an era, this sale must have made headlines. A lot of Wells Fargo History was distributed at this sale.
