Begins with a description of the Dusseldorf School of Art (pp. 3-5), followed by a catalogue of 112 works. Some of these are described in great detail, and there is a very lengthy description of Hiram Powers' Greek Slave, number 76 in the catalogue for some reason. This is followed by Appendix 1 (reviews of "The Martyrdom of Huss) and Appendix 2 (a lengthy poem). The cover title is "The Dusseldorf Gallery Catalogue of Paintings from the Dusseldorf Academy of The Fine Arts now In The Possession of The Cosmopolitan Art Association, 548 Broadway, New-York. The rear cover indicated that it is a prospectus forthe Fourth Year of The Cosmopolitan Art Association, which ends January 28, 1858, so this may have been printed in late 1857.
