The working binder for assembling the catalogue for the exhibition of this sketchbook kept by American Post-Impressionist Maurice Brazil Prendergast (1859-1924). It was the only known fully bound sketchbook still privately owned at the time. The other 88 are held by museums. Featured are 42 pages of pencil drawings, 4 of crayon, and 12 double-page watercolors. Most are pictured here. The drawings are on photographic paper, and the crayon and watercolors are on full-color transparencies. Includes background info on the artist and this sketchbook. According to an online source, the sketchbook sold for $86,500 in November 2012. This is certainly a unique and useful resource.
